Submissions

Registration and login are required to submit articles online and to check the status of current submissions.

Author Guidelines

  1. Authors must take into account the Ethics Statement and Best Practice Guidelines as well as the Journal Style Sheet. The maximum number of authors per manuscript is two.
  2. Authors grant the rights of distribution, public communication, and reproduction of their work for publication in the Revista de Derecho Civil in any type of medium, as well as for inclusion in the databases in which the journal is indexed.
  3. Works published in the Revista de Derecho Civil may subsequently be published in other media, provided that the author clearly indicates that the work was first published in this journal. The Revista de Derecho Civil encourages and permits the reuse of works under the license indicated in point 4.
  4. Unless otherwise indicated, all content in the electronic edition is distributed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License. You can consult the informational and legal text of the license at: www.creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0/
  5. Works may be downloaded, copied, shared with others, used, disseminated, and publicly displayed, provided that: 1. The authorship and original source of publication (journal, publisher, and URL of the work) are cited; 2. They are not used for commercial purposes; 3. The existence and specifications of this license are mentioned.
  6. The journal’s timelines are as follows:
    • For the publication of an issue: three months.
    • For the submission of manuscripts: the first fortnight of each quarter.
    • For acknowledgment of receipt: immediate upon submission.
    • To verify that the manuscript fits the journal’s scope and complies with publication rules: one month maximum.
    • For review (external review, acceptance/rejection, incorporation of revisions): two months maximum.
  7. This journal has no charges for authors.

The names and email addresses entered in this journal will be used exclusively for the purposes stated and will not be made available to third parties or used for any other purpose.

Indexing

The Revista de Derecho Civil began publication in February 2014 and, since then, provides immediate and unrestricted access to all its content once each quarterly issue is published. The journal is rated with the letter "C" in the Integrated Classification of Scientific Journals (CIRC). It is also registered in OAI, included in the ISOC database, in the Latindex catalog, in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), as well as in Miar (ICDS 7.0), Dialnet, Dulcinea, Sherpa/Romeo, JournalTOCs, Google Scholar, Ulrichweb, Elektronische Zeitschriftenbibliothek, Zeitschriftendatenbank (ZDB), ROAD, e-revista and on the portal REDIB, managed by the CSIC.

At the end of 2015, it was included in the Emerging Sources Citation Index, a Web of Science database, and in September 2016, in ERIHPlus. In Carhus Plus + 2018, it is rated with the letter A.

In November 2018, it was accepted for inclusion in SCOPUS, and in March 2019, it was effectively indexed.
